As Ian McGilchrist writes, “How we attend to the world shapes the world we inhabit.” Many of us move through life relating to ourselves, others, and suffering in ways that once helped us adapt, protect ourselves, or belong. Over time, these patterns can begin to narrow our lives, relationships, and sense of possibility.
As a psychotherapist, I work with individuals and couples who are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. Many people find themselves pulled between competing expectations, old patterns, difficult life experiences, and habits of being that no longer feel sustainable. Therapy offers a space to slow down and begin untangling this knot. Slowly, these threads can be rewoven in new ways, allowing for greater connection, understanding, and change to emerge.
My approach draws from modalities such as PACT, Emotion Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, existential therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, and the Dynamic Maturational Model of Attachment. I am also influenced by wisdom traditions and literature, which remind us that we are not alone in the struggles and questions we carry.
Together, we work toward developing something like an “owner’s manual” for yourself — a clearer understanding of your emotional patterns, relationships, triggers, and needs, so that you can feel more grounded in yourself, more connected in your relationships, and more open to life. If you’re looking for a space where you can bring your whole human self, speak openly, reflect deeply, and both laugh and cry, I would be honoured to work alongside you.
