Administrative Support
I’m Emilie. I am an Administrative Support at the clinic, working remotely to help ensure daily operations run smoothly and that clients feel welcomed, informed, and supported from their very first interaction. I assist with scheduling, client communication, and organizational tasks, and I strive to create a responsive, compassionate, and professional experience for both clients and therapists. I understand that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and I am committed to helping make that first step feel comfortable and accessible in a judgment-free environment.
I am currently completing my bachelor’s degree in Childhood and Youth Studies at Carleton University, where I am developing a strong foundation in child development, mental health, family systems, and the social contexts that shape young people’s experiences. Through my studies, I have gained a deeper understanding of the emotional, cognitive, and social development of children and adolescents, which continues to strengthen my passion for working in youth mental health. This has been a goal of mine since I started middle school, and I am thrilled to be able to pursue that dream.
In addition to my academic work, I have experience working in a daycare and elementary school setting, where I supported children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth. This hands-on experience allowed me to foster positive relationships, encourage emotional regulation, and support children in navigating peer interactions and daily routines. These experiences reinforced my desire to pursue a future career as a psychotherapist working with children and youth.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends and family, crafting, and being outdoors. I also tutor and babysit for elementary school-level children, and when I do, it is the highlight of my day. I value creativity, connection, and balance, and I bring those same values into my professional work.
