Jenny Noonan
Life can be challenging, especially dealing with relational issues Relationships can be our greatest source of joy—and also our deepest source of pain. If you are experiencing emotional distress and struggling in relationships - with a partner, family member, loved one or friend - you may be feeling hurt, sad, angry or alone. I can help you navigate the complexities of relationships to feel heard and understood, provide tremendous relief, and improve your quality of life. Whether you're `in crisis’, at a crossroads, or simply seeking deeper connection, therapy can offer clarity and a path forward.
Everyone strives to feel loved and to be in a happy and harmonious relationship. I specialize in relational health whether you are struggling to find, establish, or maintain a healthy relationship or deal with the loss of one. I help couples, families and individuals who are feeling stuck due to recurring conflict, communication breakdowns, trust issues, emotional distance and intimacy issues. I work with clients to help them understand and improve negative relational dynamics throughout various life stages and transitions including pre-marital, newly married, new parents, divorce, empty-nesters and retirement.
Psychotherapy can help you strive for the life you desire through a process of self-awareness and self-discovery as an effective catalyst for change. My approach focusses on deeper exploration to help you gain insights about yourself, to understand relational dynamics, and to empower you to change unhealthy patterns, behaviours, and coping mechanisms to better serve you. Uncovering and addressing underlying root causes promotes more positive and sustainable changes to live the life you want.
As a PACT-trained couples therapist, I help partners move out of painful cycles and into deeper connection, safety, and mutual understanding. We will explore what's really happening beneath the surface and how early experiences and attachment styles may influence present dynamics. Identifying unhelpful patterns and developing new healthier ways of connecting that feel more secure, authentic, and emotionally responsive will help you both feel seen, heard, and supported.
I work with couples, individuals and families to create more securely functioning relationships through effective communication, productive conflict resolution, meaningful connection and improved intimacy. I utilize a holistic, integrative, and client-centred therapeutic approach drawing on various evidence-based practices and techniques. Collaboratively, we will create a custom-tailored treatment plan to meet your unique therapeutic needs and goals.

Jenny is a mature and life-experienced Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She earned a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology in an effort to deepen her understanding of integrated health and wellness, and is dedicated to ongoing professional training and honing of skills to support clients' therapeutic needs. Jenny's life’s passion is to help people live their best life - and to not be defined by labels, situations, past relationships or experiences. Jenny’s philosophy is that therapy is a longterm and growth-oriented process blending psychological insight, self awareness and intentional action to help people live they life they want. She believes that life happens “for you” not “to you” and everyone deserves to be happy, harmonious, hopeful and healthy.
Jenny brings diverse professional and volunteer experiences centred around business and health care industries and empowering individuals to live a happier and healthier life. After completing an MBA, Jenny built and managed a successful portfolio management and investment practice with Canada’s largest investment firm. A passion to help others live a healthier life inspired her to retire as an Investment Advisor and switch her focus from managing wealth to managing health. This led her to become a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and to develop a new program to empower other aspiring nutritionists to grow and manage their own client-centered practices. Volunteer experiences include providing entrepreneurial mentorship and ongoing support to women struggling with mental health issues, and empowering economically disadvantaged women through Dress for Success. Jenny volunteered with a local community hospital board and chaired the Finance Committee where she partnered her business expertise and passion for health and wellness. Also, she volunteered at Onyx Community Services to support clients with addiction and other mental health issues.
Jenny works with individuals, couples and families both virtually and in-person. With a practice centered around helping clients with relational issues, Jenny has completed specialized training in couple's therapy to help navigate the complexities of connections, communication and overcoming relationship challenges, including Emotion Focussed Therapy for Couples (EFT-C) and a Psychobiological Approach to Couple’s Therapy (PACT).
