Couple and Family Therapist

Our clinic currently has an opening for Couple and Family Therapist. Requirements for this position include:

Registration as a Psychotherapist (RP) or Social Worker (RSW/MSW) and a member in good standing with respective college
Training and clinical experience working with couples and families.
Availability to conduct in-person therapy at our Centrepointe and Orleans offices.

Psychotherapy Intern

Our clinic is currently is looking for a psychotherapy intern to join our clinic in the spring/fall of 2024. Qualified candidates must be currently enrolled in a CRPO-recognized graduate program in psychotherapy or counselling and have completed one year of coursework and training.

Preference will be given to candidates who:

Hold undergraduate degrees or equivalent training in psychology.
Have completed coursework and/or additional workshops and training in couple therapy, family therapy, child therapy.
Have work experience in a counselling role (e.g., child and youth worker, addictions counsellor, intake counsellor).
Are sensitive and informed around diversity and equality.
Have excellent customer service skills.
Are able to help create content and contribute to the clinic’s sales and marketing initiatives.
Have availability to work in-person at our Centrepointe and/or Orleans offices.

The Authentic Life is a psychotherapy clinic specializing in individual, family and relationship (e.g, couple, marriage) therapy. We also offer supervision and consultation services to mental health professionals.

We have locations in Ottawa and Orleans. Our Ottawa clinic is located in the Nepean Medical Centre, at 1 Centrepointe Drive with easy access from Highway 417. Paid parking is available in a secure, on-site lot. Fees are $8.25 per day. On-street parking at city meters is available on Gemini Way. Free on-street parking is available on side streets off of Centrepointe Drive.

Our Orleans Clinic is located in the Centrum Plaza at 210 Centrum Boulevard. The plaza is situated directly across from Place D’Orleans, just off Highway 174. Centrum Plaza offers free parking.
